I was hanging out with other relatives when Aunt Mary suddenly asked, "Oh, my beloved Alfred. Aren't you paying attention to the girl on the other side? Don't you think she is perfect?"

Aunt Mary pointed at a stunning young woman who was wearing beautiful light blue dress with several lace motifs. She just seemed really elegant; the girl had rosy cheeks, seductive black eyes, and long flowing hair. I have to admit that Aunt Mary’s judgement was correct, highly correct. She just asked the wrong man, which was me. "Perfect as to what? If I may surmise, you’re going to say that she’d make a perfect life partner for me, don’t you?"

Aunt Mary gave an awkward laugh after I blurted out her thoughts. She maintained speaking naturally despite having no reason to be ashamed of it; perhaps this was because she believed that as an old lady, she still deserved respect. "Alfred, you truly are my favorite nephew. Come on, at your age, you ought to be married. Is it really that difficult to fall in love or rather you've failed to move on from your previous romance with Alice?"

As I heard the woman's name, my head immediately turned. I gave Aunt Mary a stern look while ignoring my guilt. Oh, my, Aunt Mary's words are so hard to deal with, dang it. Alice attended this party, what if she heard about it? Come on, I have no desire to ruin her current happiness by bringing up our history. I warned Aunt Mary as I passed her as my wrath grew. "Listen. Although I know I should respect you, if you don't control your tongue, I don't know what I will do to you."

My feet walked closer to Nicholas. I greeted him by touching his shoulder with a deadpan expression. "May I curse at you?" I asked after he turned around. He was frustrated by my question, his mind went completely blank. I repeated, "May I curse at you?"

My palm was hanging on Nicholas' shoulder when he rapidly grasped it. He responded with annoyance, "Get that silly idea out of your head. Don't you dare."

Nicholas once again ignored my presence and continued to talk with his friends. I let out a sigh while threw a quick glance around, my gaze stopped on a young woman who was laughing charmingly. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever known. She is absolutely adorable. She radiates the most lovely personality that is extremely attractive. She is Alice, the girl who was once mine. There, Alice started dancing with her lover. She loves to dance, I remembered. "I hope he gives you all his hours when he has the chance. I hope he does everything I should have done when I was your man, Alice," I murmured.
